Biblical Dream Interpretation of Pillows

Biblically, pilows in the dream can be interpreted to mean rest. They appear in about 9 verses in the Bible and they could mean that whatever you are going through, God will bring you rest in his time. Here is a detailed Biblical meaning of pillows in dreams.

A pillow in the dream could mean God is turning a tough problem into something beneficial to you

The first time a pillow is mentioned in the Bible is in Genesis just before Jacob sees a ladder to heaven with angels going up or down. It was a stone on which he had put his head to get some sleep.

This has a very significant meaning if you look closer. Jacob used a stone as a pillow. This is a sign of turning a problem (the hard stone) into something of comfort.

In fact, this is not the only time in the Bible that a stone is used as a pillow. Therefore, we can take pillows in dreams to mean God is about to turn a hard problem into something good.

God has heard your cry

In the book of Psalms, David wrote, “My pillow is dampened with tears”.

These were tears of distress, and he was essentially crying out to God for help. Pillows can, therefore, be taken to Biblically mean God has heard your cry to him.

They can be seen as objects of petition to God since before and after our sleep, while still on the pillow, is when we think about our troubles and in our hearts ask God to intervene.

You are coming into a time of rest

Biblically, pillows are mentioned when someone is about to sleep and rest. They can, therefore, be taken as a sign that God is about to give you rest from whatever you might be going through.

The first time the Pillow was mentioned was when Jacob was tired and wanted to get some rest.

God is about to do something supernatural

In Genesis 28:10–19, before Jacob saw the ladder of angels going up and down heaven, the Bible mentions that he had put his head on a pillow.

Seeing a pillow in the dream could, therefore, mean that God is preparing you for something supernatural he is about to do in your life.

God is telling you to be calm in the storm

When Jesus and the disciples were on the sea of Galilee and a storm arose, the disciples were astonished to see that Jesus was sleeping on a pillow despite the chaos and threat of drowning.

Seeing a pillow in the dream, therefore, could be God’s way of telling you to keep calm no matter what is going on.

Just like Jesus got up and rebuked the storm on the sea, your storm too, whatever it might be, will be rebuked.

What you have to do now is just relax and be at peace in the Lord.

Go back to God and he will give you rest

With reference to the Bible, a dream about a pillow could be God’s way of telling you to go back to him. In Matthew 11:28-3, Jesus said:

Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.

Since pillows are symbols of rest, seeing one in the dream could mean you have gone astray somehow and God is telling you to get back and find rest him.

Wet pillow dream meaning

A wet pillow in the dream implies problems that have been in your life for too long. Proverbially, or maybe even literally, you have been crying for far too long and the pillow is drenched.

Seeing a wet pillow also means there are problems that you are not sharing. If you think about the times you were crying on a pillow, you will remember that this was a very private time and you were completely alone.

For you to see a wet pillow in the dream means you have been dealing with things alone for far too long.

What to do: A problem shared is a problem half solved. Do not be closed up. Share your problems with those you deem can be trusted.

Dreaming of white pillow

A dream about a white pillow means you are keeping yourself too busy and do not take time to rest. The pillow is appearing white because it is rarely used and this is a sign that you need a break in your life.

There are always issues in life and these never end. Trying to solve everything by yourself and carrying the problems of others might not be the best way to live.

What to do: Deal only with what is necessary. While it is good to be helpful, do not bite more than you can chew. You do not have to take on the issues of all those around you.

Dream about blood on a pillow

A dream about blood on a pillow is a sign that there are things happening to you that you feel are draining your life. You are going through a time of turmoil and this is leaving your life directionless.

Blood in the dream symbolizes issues to do with life. It implies restlessness that is leaving your life ungrounded.

Cushion dream meaning

A cushion dream means you have needless anxiety. There are things you are bothering your mind with that you should actually not worry about. You could be worried about your finances, your job, your health, your family, relationship, etc.

If you look back on your life, you will realize that there were things you were worried about but that turned out to have been non-issues.

Pillow on fire dream meaning

To see a pillow on fire in a dream implies there is something you need to do but are not. It implies a reluctance to act and could refer to laziness.

Essentially, it means you are ‘resting’ when you should not be, and that is why you see a pillow on fire.
