Jeheim Raspberry of Quincy dies in fatal 12th street bike-car crash in Adams County, Monday, May 10

Police stated Darin Prost, 55, was traveling northbound on 12th street between Adams and Monroe Street around 7:40 a.m.. He allegedly turned left off 12th Street into an alley and into the path of an oncoming motorcycle, killing Jeheim Raspberry, 18 of Quincy.

Police stated the motorcycle was traveling southbound on South 12th Street at a high rate of speed and struck the side of a BMW sedan being driven by Prost.

The driver of the motorcycle was transported to Blessing Hospital by Adams County Ambulance and was later pronounced dead.

Adams County Coroner Scott Graham identified the victim as Jeheim Raspberry, 18, of Quincy.

Following an investigation, Quincy Police stated that Prost was issued a citation for failure to yield.

Police had closed a section of 12th Street Monday morning as they investigated the crash.

The road was reopened around before 10:30 a.m.
