Brockton Shooting Death of Liedson Monteiro-Terry – Obituary

16-year-old Liedson Monteiro-Terry has died in a fatal Brockton shooting that occurred at a house party on Saturday, September 4, 2021. The Champion High School student was shot in the early morning hours of Saturday during a party held at 40 Sprague Avenue. According to official reports, detectives working on the case were notified about the shooting at about 1:40 a.m.

Neighbors say they heard 3 or 4 gunshots and when police arrived at the scene, they found Liedson lying down, suffering serious bullet wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene even though paramedics attempted life-saving measures.

Liedson was a student at Champion High School. Joel McKernan, Monteiro-Terry’s former youth football coach, described him as one of those people everyone is drawn to.

The shooting is still being investigated. So far, no suspects or motive has been identified.
