Roebuck Plaza Shooting Death of Cornelius Ja’Shawn Hilliard and Reginald Curtis Crawford Jr.  – Obituary

21-year-old Cornelius Ja’Shawn Hilliard and 26-year-old Reginald Curtis Crawford Jr. have died in a fatal Birmingham shooting that occurred on Saturday, September 4, 2021. It happened in a store, Superior For Men, located at Roebuck Plaza off Parkway East.

Police arrived at the scene to find two people dead inside the store. A 25-year-old man and a 23-year-old man were also injured. Police have not described how serious their bullet wounds are.

According to official reports, the men were inside the clothing store when an argument broke out. Two men, Cornelius and Reginald, wound up dead.

An officer arrived at the scene but 4 suspects fled from the scene. The officer was able to describe the suspects’ vehicle which was spotted immediately. A pursuit ensued and went on for several miles until the fleeing vehicle crashed into a drain.

3 were captured while the fourth fled the police. The fugitive suspect has been identified as a Black male with, brown complexion, wearing a white t-shirt with a black emblem near the collar, black pants, and black shoes. Police say this is to be considered dangerous.
