Navy Helicopter Crash Death of Lt. Bradley A. Foster – Obituary

29-year-old Lt. Bradley A. Foster has been identified as one of 8 people killed in the fatal Navy helicopter crash that occurred Tuesday, August 31, 2021. It happened off the coast of San Diego during what officials say was a routine flight from the USS Abraham Lincoln.

Foster graduated from Officer Candidate School in Newport, Rhode Island in 2015. The military man was trained in air combat throughout his career. Among his achievements was a National Defense Service Medal.

The five identified so far are:

  1. Lt. Bradley A. Foster, 29, a pilot from Oakhurst, California
  2. Lt. Paul R. Fridley, 28, a pilot from Annandale, Virginia
  3. Naval Air Crewman (Helicopter) 2nd Class James P. Buriak, 31, from Salem, Virginia
  4. Hospital Corpsman 3rd Class Bailey J. Tucker, 21, from St. Louis, Missouri
  5. Hospital Corpsman 2nd Class Sarah F. Burns of Severna Park

The Navy has not yet made the details surrounding the accident available as it remains under investigation.
