Summit County High-Speed Chase Car Crash Death of 19-year-old Daisha Reynolds of Salt Lake City – Obituary

19-year-old Daisha Reynolds of Salt Lake City has died in a fatal Summit County high-speed chase car crash that occurred on US 40 on Wednesday, September 22, 2021. Daisha was a passenger in a vehicle that was involved in a high-speed chase that started from Wasatch County until the roll-over crash in Summit. 22-year-old Charles Caster was the driver.

Police say they were investigating reports regarding a vehicle that was stolen from a Hideout parking lot. At about 10 a.m. on Wednesday, September 22, 2021, the chase was on. It ended when Charles swerved in a bid to avoid an immobilizing device set up by officers.

The maneuver resulted in a roll-over that saw Daisha thrown out of the vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Charles was left with critical injuries and remains hospitalized.

The incident is still under investigation.
