Stabbing Death of Longfellow Elementary School Bus Driver Richard Lenhart – Obituary

72-year-old school bus driver Richard Lenhart has died in fatal Pasco, Longfellow Elementary School stabbing that occurred on Friday, September 24, 2021 in  Washington. It happened as Richard was picking up elementary school kids. 34-year-old Joshua D. Davis of Richland entered the bus and stabbed him.

As the stabbing was going on, Richard lifted his foot off the brake which caused the bus to drive over a curb and into some bushes and then a tree.

The Kennewick man was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The stabber has been identified as 34-year-old Joshua D. Davis of Richland. He has since been placed in the Franklin County Jail.

Investigations into the shooting are still ongoing.
