Lancaster Shooting Death of Palmdale man Joseph Quirola  – Obituary

51-year-old Palmdale man Joseph Quirola has died in a fatal Lancaster Sierra Highway restaurant shooting that occurred in the 42100 block of the highway on Monday, October 11, 2021. The shooting occurred following an altercation in the process of which a man pulled out a gun.

Officer arrived at the scene to find a security guard and an employee suffering upper body bullet wounds. They were informed that the shooter was still inside, which made them to treat the incident as a barricade situation. They called the Special Enforcement Bureau.

Upon entry, they found Joseph with a fatal bullet wound to his upper body and a woman with a wound to her lower extremities.

The woman and the male employee had non-life-threatening injuries and were treated at a local hospital, where the security guard remains in serious condition.

Joseph was pronounced dead from his injuries.
