Elmira Car Accident Death of Raymond Hall – Obituary

70-year-old Raymond Hall of Elmira has died in a fatal Elmira, NY pedestrian-car crash that occurred on Monday, October 11, 2021. It happened at about 4:15 a.m. in the area of Clemens Center Parkway Bridge. Officers arrived at the scene to find Raymond lying on the ground, with severe injuries.

He was taken to a local hospital after first responders attempted life-saving measures. He was pronounced dead at the hospital.

Officers have not revealed any details about the driver of the vehicle that struck Raymond.

The accident remains under investigation.

ELMIRA, N.Y. (WENY) — One person was killed after being hit by a car in the City of Elmira.

Police responded to the area of Clemens Center Parkway Bridge for the report of a pedestrian being hit by a car around 4:15 a.m. Monday.

Officers found an individual lying in the roadway in the southbound lane of traffic on the southern end of the bridge. Life-saving efforts were made by police, and he was turned over to paramedics and rushed to a nearby hospital; first responders say the individual died of his injuries.

At this time, police say the names of anyone involved will not be released until the victim’s family can be notified.
