Hennepin Hit and Run Death of Rosie Lee Means – Obituary

70-year-old Rosie Lee Means has been identified as the woman who died in a fatal Hennepin hit and run that occurred on Monday, October 11, 2021. Police have arrested  21-year-old Cameron Mikkel Bendson in connection with the hit and run.

The accident occurred as Rosie was on a crosswalk on a wheelchair in the area of North Aldrich Avenue and West Broadway Avenue.

Cameroon, a known meth user, was driving a Jeep when he struck Rosie. She was thrown 50 feet from the point she was struck at.

The driver left the scene but police later found the Jeep in the median of Highway 100. It appeared to have been involved in a crash, and the interior was found on fire.

Officers were later alerted to a suspicious man in an alley. This person was found to have been Cameroon. He was arrested and is set to appear in court on Friday, October 15, 2021.
