Van Nuys car accident death of Connie Levinson of Woodland Hills – Obituary

53-year-old Connie Levinson of Woodland Hills has died in a fatal Van Nuys car accident that occurred when the vehicle that was being driven by 18-year old Luis Carrillo-Castaneda crashed into a restaurant. The accident happened on Sunday, October 24, 2021, at 8:05 p.m. at 7600 Woodley Avenue and Saticoy Street as Luis was doing donuts at the intersection.

The accident happened as a police helicopter was pursuing the Tahoe that Luis was driving. He attempted to apply the brakes before hitting the restaurant, leaving 200 ft of skid marks.

Connie was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.

Luis was taking part in a street takeover, an act in which street racers claim a portion of the road to perform drag races and drifting.

Luis has been charged with reckless driving and murder.
