White Horse Road car crash death of 7-year-old Aaliyah King and DUI suspect Aydin Adil Oglu-Mammadov – Obituary

7-year-old Aaliyah King and DUI suspect Aydin Adil Oglu-Mammadov have died in a fatal White Horse Road car crash that occurred in Greenville County on Monday, November 8, 2021. The accident happened at about 8 p.m. in the area of Claxton Drive.

According to official reports, Aydin was driving a Mercedes sedan while drunk, northbound on White Horse Road. At the same time, A Hyundai SUV was traveling south on White Horse. For reasons yet to be established, Aydin’s Benz veered over the centerline and into oncoming traffic where it collided with the Hyundai.

On impact, Aydin was killed at the scene while 7-year-old Aaliyah King and a 5-year-old, who were passengers in the Hyundai, were left with severe injuries and taken to a local hospital. Aliyah was pronounced dead later.

The driver of the Hyundai was properly restrained and has been hospitalized with injuries whose extent has not been made available.

The crash remains under investigation.
