15-year-old Carlos Munoz has died in a fatal San Jacinto car crash that occurred on Friday, November 19, 2021. It happened when the motorcycle that Carlos was operating at the intersection of Lake Park Drive and Soboba Road went off the road and rear-ended a sedan.
According to official reports, the motorcycle crashed into the back of a 2018 Honda Accord which led the vehicle to strike a 2020 Jeep Rubicon. The driver of the Honda, a 72-year-old woman was hospitalized for injuries.
Carlos was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounce dead while the driver of the Jeep survived the accident with no injuries.
The wreck was reported at 12:10 p.m.
Munoz and his motorcycle landed in southbound lanes. He was taken by paramedics to the Riverside University Health System Medical Center, where he died from his injuries at 1:02 p.m., the coroner reported.
The boy suffered major blunt force trauma, Nunez said.
The 72-year-old woman suffered minor injuries and was taken to Hemet Valley Hospital as a precaution, Nunez said. The Jeep driver was not injured.
The crash investigation continued, the officer said.
