Covina police shooting BB Gun shooting death of Daniel Valdivia – Obituary
Daniel Valdivia, 24, has died in a fatal Covina police shooting after displaying a BB gun made to look like a glock. The shooting happened in the 100 block of East Arrow Highway at about 10:10 p.m. on Saturday, April 9, 2022.
According to official reports, officers received reports about a man with a gun, drinking a beer, and arguing with people. People were running from the area, the reports indicated.
Officers arrived at the location to find Daniel Valdivia and gave him lawful orders. He did not comply and appeared to be reaching for his waistband, prompting the officers to open fire.
The shooting is under investigation and more details will be made available.
