Chicago Homan Square shooting death of Maleek Smith – Obituary
14-year-old boy Maleek Smith has died in a fatal Chicago Homan Square shooting that occurred on the West Side in the 600 block of South Lawndale Avenue. The shooting happened at about 2:05 p.m. onThursday, April 14, 2022.
According to official reports, officers arrived at the scene in an alley in Homan Square where they found Maleek with severe bullet wounds.
Maleek was pronounced dead at the scene of the shooting. The shooting is under investigation and more details will be made available.
