Shreveport murder-suicide of Angie C. Anders and William C. Cherry – Obituary
Angie C. Anders, 47, of the 8900 block of Rosedown Place, Shreveport, has died in a fatal murder-suicide by William C. Cherry, 58, of the 500 block of Atkins Street. The shooting happened on Thursday and Friday.
According to official reports, officers arrived at the scene of the shooting to find Angie C. Anders with bullet wounds in a crashed vehicle. She was found in the 500 block of Atkins Street and was taken to a local hospital.
However, Angie C. Anders was pronounced dead from her bullet wounds.
6 hours later, police located the body of William C. Cherry at a residence. He was found to have suffered a self-inflicted bullet wound, lying in bed. William was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigations indicate William C. Cherry was a habitual woman abuser and had several interactions with law enforcement based on his abuse of his earlier ex-wife.
The shooting is under investigation and more details will be made available.
