Friday/4/15/2022 Long Beach shooting death of Joshua Simmons – Obituary
Joshua Simmons of Long Beach has died in a fatal Long Beach shooting that occurred on Friday, April 15, 2022. The shooting happened at about 9:30 p.m. in the 1000 block of East Via Wanda, between Orange and Atlantic.
According to official reports, the shooting happened during a cellphone purchase on a basketball court. Officers arrived at the scene to find Joshua suffering bullet wounds to the chest.
The shooting is under investigation and more details will be made available. So far, Jose Bustamante Cardenas, 24, of Los Angeles, has been arrested in connection with the shooting.
