42-year-old Christopher McManus of Batesburg, S.C. has died in a fatal Darlington car crash that occurred on Monday, April 18, 2022. The accident happened when the SUV that Christopher was driving colided with a fire truck on Ruby Road.
According to official reports, Christopher McManus was the driver of an SUV that was traveling south on Ruby Road.
At some point, the vehicle veered into northbound traffic where it colided with a fire truck. The fire truck, at the time of the accident, was rushing to a fire.
The accident left Christopher McManus with severe injuries to which eh succumbed at the scene. The crash also left the driver of the fire truck with injuries and that driver, who has not been identified, has been sent to a local hopspita.
The accident is under investigation and more details will be made available.
