Officers apprehended a driver early Sunday after he allegedly collided with another car while speeding, killing one person, according to Cleveland police.
Sharde Stubbs, 25, was the deceased victim, according to the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner’s office.
The accident happened just before 3 a.m. at the junction of East 79th Street and Carnegie Avenue in Cleveland’s Fairfax neighborhood, according to Cleveland police.
According to police, the now-arrested driver was driving a Honda Civic when he hit a Hyundai Sonata after speeding through a red light.
The Honda’s driver was a 23-year-old guy, according to Cleveland police, although he was not identified.
After being transferred to University Hospitals, the driver of the Sonata, later identified as Stubbs, died, according to authorities.
