Tuesday-April 19-2022 Liberty Township car crash death of James Barnett III – Obituary
James Barnett III has died in a fatal Liberty Township car crash that occurred on Tuesday-April 19-2022. The accident happened on Interstate 75 at about 9 a.m.
According to OSHP, James Barnett III died at the site of the Tuesday incident after being thrown from his 2022 Kenworth semi.
The collision occurred shortly before 9 a.m. in the northbound lanes of I-75 between the exits for Liberty Way and Ohio 129 in Liberty Township, according to troopers.
In front of Barnett, Faustin Muhire was driving a 2016 F Freightliner in the left center lane.
According to troopers, Muhire slowed down for unknown reasons, causing Barnett to swerve and collide with the trailer in front of him.
Barnett’s semi-truck flipped and flew off the side of I-75 before collapsing into the concrete median. Barnett was declared dead at the scene by Liberty Township Fire and EMS, according to authorities.
