Lowndes County car crash death of Donavan Normandin and Samantha Ward – obituary
The names of the two adolescents killed in a car accident in Lowndes County have been released.
Donavan Normandin, 19, of Columbus, was driving the Ford Mustang when it crashed.
Samantha Ward, 17, of Millport, Alabama, was his passenger.
They were both killed at the site of the Highway 45 accident on Tuesday night.
According to Lowndes County Coroner Greg Merchant, the automobile was traveling south when it strayed into the oncoming lane.
According to state troopers, Normandin’s automobile collided with a northbound SUV, which then collided with an Amory police department patrol car in a head-on collision.
The cop suffers hand injuries.
According to the Mississippi Highway Patrol, the driver of the SUV suffered moderate injuries.
The accident is still being investigated by the MHP.
