Tamon Calloway and Yusef Minor arrested in Clayton shooting death of Ja’Leesa May-Carter  

Two men, Tamon Calloway and Yusef Minor, have been detained by Clayton County police in connection with the death of a lady who was discovered shot to death on a back porch earlier this year.

Around 3:30 p.m. on February 24, police were called to a residence on Arrowhead Boulevard for a person shot. They discovered a lady deceased on the porch with a gunshot wound to the back.

Ja’Leesa May-Carter, 33, was identified as the victim by police.

Bond was given to an alleged gang member accused of shooting an APD officer against the DA’s displeasure.

Tamon Calloway and Yusef Minor were named as suspects throughout the inquiry.

In Minor’s car, police discovered a Glock handgun, various magazines, and a variety of ammunition.

Calloway and Minor were arrested and charged with murder recently.
