Bucyrus Kansas car crash death of Burgandy Rose Thomas of Peculiar Missouri – Obituary

Authorities in Miami County, Kansas, have identified a Missouri citizen, Burgandy Rose Thomas of Peculiar Missouri, as the victim of a deadly incident in which a car drove through the top of a home on Wednesday afternoon.

Deputies from the Miami County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to a residence around 223rd and Third Streets in Bucyrus just after 4:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Someone called 911 to report that a car had hit a house and that someone was trapped inside.

A gray 2018 Dodge Charger was discovered in the back yard of a residence in the 100 block of South Third Street, laying on its passenger side. The driver was declared deceased at the scene.

The driver of the automobile was speeding east on 223rd Street when he lost control after crossing railroad tracks in Bucyrus. The automobile then went airborne, crossing Third Street while in the air, striking a tree, the roof of the house, and landing on its side.

Burgandy Rose Thomas, 29, of Peculiar, Missouri, has been identified as the vehicle’s driver.
