Hinds County shooting death of Christopher Lewis Jr. – Obituary
The Jackson Police Department is investigating the death of a 15-year-old boy, Christopher Lewis Jr., who was pronounced dead following a fatal Hinds County shooting on Friday, April 22, 2022. Christopher was shot in the face.
According to authorities, the incident occurred at 4 a.m. Friday in the 1700 block of Woody Drive. Christopher Lewis Jr. died after being shot in the face, according to Hinds County Coroner Sharon Grisham Stewart.
A 15-year-old suspect has been apprehended in connection with the shooting, according to police.
Lewis attended Cardozo Middle School, according to authorities with the Jackson Public School District.
