Mill Street shooting death of Clinton Newsome – Obituary
Police in Jackson are looking into a triple shooting that occurred across the street from the King Edward Hotel on Friday, April 22, 2022. Clinton Newsome, 53, was killed in the fatal Mill Street shooting that occurred on Farish Street Park.
According to authorities, one guy was shot twice in front of the Mill Street bus stop. At the spot, he was pronounced dead. Clinton Newsome, 53, has been named as the victim by police.
Officers spoke with a witness at the site and discovered that the gunman and Newsome had a physical argument near Farish Street Park. Newsome stole some crystal meth from the suspect during the altercation. The attacker then approached the victims near the junction of Amite and Mill streets and began shooting numerous shotgun shots.
