Sylmar CA plane crash death of John King – Obituary
Authorities identified John King as the pilot of a small plane who perished in a collision along the westbound Foothill (210) Freeway in Sylmar on Friday, April 22, 2022.
According to the coroner’s office, John King, 62, died at the site of the incident, which occurred at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday.
The coroner’s office did not reveal his city of residence, but FAA records show King as a Torrance resident and the owner of the twin-engine Cessna 337 Skymaster that crashed near Sayre Street, impacting some trees and coming to rest on an embankment next to the 210 Freeway.
According to FAA spokesperson Eva Lee Ngai, King was the sole passenger onboard the jet.
