Lakeland car crash death of Lisandra De La Caridad Hedman – Obituary
According to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office, a lady, Lisandra De La Caridad Hedman, was pronounced dead and another person was rushed to a nearby hospital following a two-car accident in Lakeland on Friday, April 22, 2022.
Lisandra De La Caridad Hedman, 20, was driving a Nissan Altima at the crossroads of Colbert Road and US Highway 98 around 10:15 a.m., according to evidence and witnesses.
At the same time, a Jeep Wrangler was going southbound on the highway on the outer lane, nearing Colbert Road. The motorist, 41-year-old Emily Rand Johnson, had the right-of-way, according to the sheriff’s office.
According to deputies, Hedman began to cross the southbound lanes and attempted to turn onto northbound U.S. 98 for unclear reasons. As a result, the automobile drove into the path of the Jeep.
According to deputies, the Jeep collided with the driver’s side of the Altima.
Following the collision, the two automobiles proceeded south for about 30 feet until coming to a stop along the west shoulder of the road.
Hedman was pronounced dead at the spot, while Johnson was taken to a nearby hospital and treated for her injuries. The lady, 41, was eventually released from the hospital.
During the inquiry, which is still underway, two southbound lanes of the highway were closed for somewhat more than three hours.
