Clarke County car crash death of Michael Ables – Obituary
The Virginia State Police are now investigating a single-vehicle Clarke County car crash that resulted in the death of a man, Michael Ables, 34, of Bluemont, Va. The accident happened on Retreat Road on Tuesday, April 19, 2022.
A 2015 Jeep Cherokee was going south on Retreat Road (Route 643) around 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 19 when it veered off the road and crashed with a mailbox, telephone pole, and five parked automobiles before coming to a halt.
Michael Ables, 34, of Bluemont, Va., was a passenger in the Jeep who was not wearing a seatbelt and was thrown from the car. He died at the scene of the accident as a result of his injuries.
Nicole Gray, 33, of Nashville, Tenn., was the driver of the Jeep and was wearing her seatbelt at the time of the incident.
