Frederick County pedestrian-car crash death of Nikole Cynthia Morfessis – Obituary
A 15-year-old girl, Nikole Cynthia Morfessis, was killed in a pedestrian accident in Frederick County early this afternoon, according to Maryland State Police.
Nikole Cynthia Morfessis, 15, of Walkersville, Maryland, has been identified as the victim. Morfessis was airlifted to Frederick Health Hospital, where she was confirmed dead by hospital staff.
Troopers from the Maryland State Police Frederick Barrack were dispatched to the intersection of Woodsboro Pike (Route 194) and W. Frederick Street in Walkersville.
According to early findings, the pedestrian, later identified as Morfessis, was standing on the northbound side of the street. Investigators suspect Morfessis went into the traffic when a tractor-trailer was driving northbound on Route 194 for unclear reasons.
