Phoenix shooting death of Nissa Thomas – Obituary
Phoenix police are investigating a homicide after a woman, Nissa Thomas, was discovered dead and a man was taken to the hospital on Friday, April 22, 2022.
Officers arrived to an underpass near Interstate 17 and Cactus Road at 6:30 p.m. and discovered two victims “suffering from gunshot wounds,” according to a news release from Phoenix police.
The couple were beneath the underpass when they were confronted by two suspects. One suspect fired at both victims before fleeing the area.
Nissa Thomas, 35, and a guy, 31, who officials did not identify, were both brought to a local hospital.
According to the report, Thomas died from her injuries in the hospital, while the male is likely to live.
