ND car crash death of Peyton Young of Benson Minn – Obituary
The North Dakota Highway Patrol has named 20-year-old Peyton Young of Benson, Minnesota, as the man who died in a Friday, April 22, 2022 afternoon collision.
The collision occurred about 1:26 p.m. Friday in the 600 block of 25th Street North, according to the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
According to the Patrol, the 20-year-old was driving a 2002 Honda Accord northbound on 25th Street North from Main Avenue in Fargo.
Levi Lucasdale, 21, of Fargo, was driving a 2008 Chrysler Town & Country westbound on 25th Street North from 7th Avenue North. In this neighborhood, 25th Street is a concrete road with a single northbound and southbound lane and a continuous center turn lane.
The Honda Accord was traveling north when it crossed the center turn lane and entered the southbound lane. The Honda Accord collided with a Chrysler Town & Country. Both vehicles collided in the southbound lane and came to a stop head-on.
The driver of the Accord was extricated from the vehicle and sent to a local hospital by Sanford Ambulance, where he died from his injuries. The driver of the Chrysler Town & Country was treated at the scene for minor injuries and released. The passenger, Fargo resident Robert Yunker, 26, suffered significant but non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to a local hospital by Sanford Ambulance.
