Murray Jeffress was at work in Durham when he learned that his wife, Angela Jeffress, 56, had been shot and murdered as she was sleeping. He sensed something was awry when he counted eight missed calls from loved ones.

“Something is going on in your house, said my wife’s aunt to me. She had no idea. That’s when I dialed my neighbor’s number. ‘Murray, it ain’t good,’ he added. ‘Someone shot up your house,’ said the neighbor”According to Jeffress.

Roxboro police were summoned to the 1300 block of Graham Street overnight after multiple shell casings were discovered. Angela Jeffress, 56, was identified as the victim, who was sleeping. Her adolescent son was present at the moment. The bullet holes on the front of the house told the whole sad story.
