Fort Worth shooting death of James Jones of Fort Worth – Obituary
A 30-year-old man, James Jones of Fort Worth, was killed in a shooting that occurred on Friday, April 22, 2022 night in central Fort Worth.
Around 11:45 p.m., shots were fired in the 3800 block of Earl Street. When officers got on the scene, they discovered a guy who had already died “laying on the ground with apparent gunshot wounds to his upper torso.”
According to police records, the victim was identified as James Jones of Fort Worth. Paul Branton, 51, was arrested in connection with Jones’ death about 5:45 a.m. at the police station. Branton was charged with first-degree murder.
The inquiry is being conducted by the police department’s homicide section.
