Chicago River death of Karina Alanis – obituary
The remains of Karina Alanis, 31, were recovered from the Chicago River on Friday, April 22, 2022 in the morning hours. This is the fourth body discovered in the city’s waterways in the last week.
The woman’s body, named as Karina Alanis, 31, was located in the 2600 block of South Damen at approximately 7:50 a.m. and was declared dead at the scene, according to police.
Last weekend, three more bodies were recovered from Chicago’s waterways.
All four fatalities are being investigated.
