Bessemer shooting death of Center Point man Javail Lamar Hodges – Obituary
Javail Lamar Hodges, a Center Point man was pronounced dead following a fatal Bessember shooting in which he sustained multiple bullet wounds.
The shooting occurred on Thursday, April 21, 2022 at around 8:10 p.m., according to the Bessemer Police Department.
According to Carol Robinson of AL.com, 30-year-old Javail Lamar Hodges was shot after a suspected attack but the attacker has not been identified. Neither has a motive been established.
The event occurred in Bessemer’s 2400 block of Berkley Avenue. According to Robinson, Hodges was shot while standing outside a car, chatting to someone inside. The car then drove away from the scene.
Hodges was taken to UAB Medical West Hospital in Bessemer. He later succumbed to the bullet wounds sustained in the shooting.
