William H. Houseworth II has been identified as the person killed by an Edmonds officer last week. The shooting occurred at the Americas Best Value Inn.

The deceased has been identified as 42-year-old William H. Houseworth II by the Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office.

The medical examiner’s office confirmed in a tweet that Houseworth died from gunshot wounds and that his mode of death was murder.

Officers were dispatched to the motel in response to an allegation of domestic violence.

When the cops came, a guy armed with a knife leaped at them. According to police, an officer used a stun gun on him, but he continued to assault.

Another cop opened fire with their service weapon, striking Houseworth.

He was brought to Harborview Medical Center in severe condition, but he died there later that day.
