Portland shooting death of Derald Coffin of West Bath Maine- Obituary
Derald Coffin of West Bath, a 43-year-old man, was identified as the victim who was shot and murdered on Woodford Street early Tuesday, April 26, 2022.
Police discovered Coffin, 43, laying on the road at 100 Woodford Street just after 1 a.m. He was treated at the site by emergency responders before being transported to Maine Medical Center, where he was declared dead.
According to Portland Police Major Robert Martin, the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner began a post-mortem examination of Coffin on Tuesday. Details were not made public until Wednesday evening.
Residents reported seeing a group of individuals arguing and then hearing gunshots early Tuesday morning, prompting police to respond.
