Roseville police shooting death of Frank Robles – Obituary
Frank Robles, 57, of Roseville, has been identified as the man shot and killed by Roseville police on Groesbeck Highway after a car crash turned violent. The shooting happened on Tuesday, April 26, 2022.
Roseville police responded to a severe automobile accident on Tuesday.
Two Roseville police officers responded to a car accident on Groesbeck Highway between 12 Mile and Martin roads on April 26. Frank Robles, 57, of Roseville, was driving southbound on Groesbeck Highway in a Chevy Silverado when he crossed into oncoming traffic and collided nearly head-on with a semi-truck.
Witnesses told police that when they approached Robles after the incident to check on him, he pulled a knife and had slashes on his wrists. When officers got on the scene and approached Robles, he was armed with a knife, according to authorities.
Robles was repeatedly ordered to drop the knife by the two Roseville police officers on the scene, a man and a woman. According to officials, the male police officer began to back away from Robles, but Robles continued to walk toward him.
The male cop then fired several bullets at Robles, who collapsed to the ground. According to officials, as the 57-year-old guy attempted to stand up while still holding the knife, the same cop fired five more bullets at Robles.
