Citrus Heights shooting death of Gersain Trenado Orozco CA – Obituary
Citrus Heights police said on Wednesday that a man who ran down and killed a shooter turned himself in. The man killed has been identified as Gersain Trenado Orozco while the suspect arrested has been identified as Jose Maldonado, 39.
According to police, Orozco had recently slain another guy, Jesus Mejia Cruz, at Fair Oaks Park before being shot in Citrus Heights between Madison Avenue and Fair Oaks Boulevard.
Around 7 p.m., police arrived to the Madison Avenue shooting, discovered Orozco, and transported him to the hospital, where he died.
After investigating the murder, authorities obtained an arrest warrant for Jose Maldonado, 39. Maldonado handed himself in to police on Wednesday, according to police. He was taken into custody on suspicion of murder.
