Buttonwillow car crash death of Albert Lee Lepper of Benicia – Obituary
BAKERSFIELD, CA – The name of the motorist who died in an accident near Buttonwillow on April 21 has been disclosed by the Kern County Sheriff’s Office as Albert Lee Lepper of Benicia.
Albert Lee Lepper, 64, of Benicia, crashed into a crane vehicle on State Route 46 in Buttonwillow, west of Corcoran Road. He was pronounced deceased at the site by the California Highway Patrol.
According to the CHP, Lepper was traveling in the eastern lane when he abruptly drifted into the westbound lane and collided with the crane truck.
The CHP said that they have not ruled out the possibility of drug or alcohol usage being a part in the collision. They’re also looking into potential medical conditions that could have prompted Lepper to veer into the wrong side of the road.
