Springfield pedestrian-car crash death of Harrison Charlesworth MO – Obituary
A pedestrian who was struck and died in an accident in Springfield on Wednesday, April 26, 2022, in the morning has been named by police as Harrison Charlesworth, 33, of Springfield.
Around 9:30 a.m. – Wednesday, April 26, 2022, police responded to the collision on U.S. 65 near Battlefield Road.
A dump truck was driving southbound on US Highway 65 in the right, outside lane. The pedestrian, subsequently identified as Charlesworth, was wandering along the southbound shoulder of US Highway 65 when he crossed into the right, outside lane of traffic.
While attempting to avoid Charlesworth, the dump truck drifted into the center lane and collided with a pick-up vehicle. The dump truck also struck Charlesworth. He was taken to a Springfield hospital but died as a result of his injuries.
