La Jolla CA car crash death of Joshua Adonai Manzanares and Johnny Ildefonzo Punzalan – Obituary
TORREY PINES, Calif. (KGTV) — The second youngster died in a suspected DUI collision near Torrey Pines State Beach in La Jolla on Monday has been identified by the Medical Examiner’s Officer.
Johnny Ildefonzo Punzalan, 19, of Lake Elsinore, was one of four passengers in a 2020 Subaru WRX that was speeding northbound on North Torrey Pines Road just after 11 p.m.
Punzalan and Joshua Adonai Manzanares, both 19, of Lake Elsinore, were thrown from the sedan when it plunged over the precipice, struck many rocks, and came to rest on the shore.
At the time of the accident, neither was wearing a seatbelt. The driver and two other passengers were caught in the debris.
