Compton car crash death of Jadelynn Kwok – Obituary

COMPTON: Authorities were seeking for the suspected hit-and-run motorist Sunday after two individuals were murdered on the Riverside (91) Freeway in the Compton area.

The California Highway Patrol first suspected that the incident was caused by speed racing, but now claims that the two persons murdered in the hit-and-run were not riding with a gang of street racers, but were victims of a hit-and-run motorist.

The California Highway Patrol got a 911 report concerning an accident on the eastbound 91, west of Acacia Avenue, at 12:37 a.m. Saturday.

According to the CHP, the parties were going in a group of street racers on the westbound highway when a Honda collided with the left side of a Toyota 4 Runner, pushing the Toyota into the right dirt shoulder and colliding with a pole.

The driver of the Toyota, a 24-year-old man from Huntington Beach, and his passenger, an 18-year-old lady from El Monte, were slain. Jadelynn Kwok was recognized as the lady.

The Honda sped away from the scene. Anyone with information concerning the collision or the suspect’s car can call Officer A. Phillipson at the CHP’s South Los Angeles area office at 424-551-4000.
