Richland train-car crash death of Jennifer Kennedy – Obituary
SOUTH RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. — The coroner’s office has identified a lady who died Saturday in a train collision west of Blythewood.
Jennifer Kennedy, 25, of Blythewood, died in the collision on Hobart Road at 5 p.m., according to Richland County Coroner Naida Rutherford.
According to the South Carolina Highway Patrol, who is in charge of the investigation, the victim was traveling south on Hobart Road when he collided with the train. Hobart Road connects the Brookhaven neighborhood to adjacent Farrow Road.
Investigators are still gathering information on how the incident occurred.
“We are collaborating with the South Carolina Highway Patrol to conduct a thorough investigation into this tragedy,” Coroner Rutherford stated.
