SHREVEPORT, LA. (AP) — The Caddo Parish Coroner’s Office has disclosed the identity of the child killed by a stray gunshot in Shreveport’s South Highland area on Sunday afternoon. Landry Anglin, a Caddo Middle Magnet student, is 13 years old.

Just before 1:30 p.m., a gunshot occurred in the 4500 block of Fairfield Avenue. According to police, the rounds were fired from one of three automobiles involved in a rolling gunfight on Fairfield. One car that is thought to have been involved has been retrieved. The other two are still being sought by police.

Anglin was inside a house when she was struck. She was airlifted to Ochsner LSU Health, where she died.

Grief counselors have been made accessible to Caddo Middle Magnet students and staff.
