Charlotte NC shooting death of Shariff Oliphant and Trey Anthony McClendon – Obituary
According to officials with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department, gunfire erupted at 7:15 p.m. Friday in a west Charlotte business park, killing two persons.
The inquiry took place at a business park parking lot on the 700 block of Montana Drive, which is adjacent to Interstate 85. Several activities were taking place at the time, drawing large crowds, according to authorities.
According to paramedics, two persons died as a result of the gunshot. According to authorities, one victim was discovered in a Dodge Charger and the other in the parking lot.
Shariff Oliphant, 23, and Trey Anthony McClendon, 21, were eventually identified as the victims by CMPD.
The structure connected to the parking lot has a barbershop, a day spa, and other businesses.
