Jamestown shooting death of Shawn Black – Obituary
Following a gunshot incident late Saturday near Jamestown, a 37-year-old Lockport man was declared dead.
Shawn Black, the victim, was identified by police and transferred to UPMC Chautauqua by private vehicle.
Officers were called at 11:25 p.m. after receiving reports of numerous rounds fired between East Sixth Street and American Place. Soon later, police were informed that a car had arrived at the hospital, including a gunshot victim.
The car that traveled to the Foote Avenue hospital was damaged by many bullets.
According to a press release issued by Jamestown police on Sunday morning, the victim, subsequently identified as the Lockport male, was declared dead at UPMC Chautauqua.
