Charlotte NC car crash death of Jacob Castor – Obituary

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — On Saturday, April 30, the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department responded to a fatal motor vehicle collision in the University division.

Officers responded to the accident near the junction of East Mallard Creek Church Road and Alexander Glen Drive about 8:10 p.m.

Upon arrival, two vehicles were discovered: a Honda motorbike with front-end damage and a Nissan Altima with damage to the left driver’s side.

The driver of the Nissan, 63-year-old Pete Siemsen, was found unharmed at the scene of the incident. The motorbike driver was on the road with life-threatening injuries.

Jacob Castor, 22, was recognized as the biker by medics. Caster was taken to Atrium Heath, where he died from his injuries.

Siemsen was parked on Alexander Glen Drive at East Mallard Creek Church Road and attempted to make a left turn when he crashed with the Castor, according to a news statement.

According to officers, the speed of the motorbike is thought to have played a role in the incident.
