Roanoke car crash death of Michael Horton – Obituary
ROANOKE COUNTY, VIRGINIA – The Roanoke County Police Department is investigating a fatal crash that occurred on Friday.
According to police, a 2011 Nissan Altima was going westbound as it exited the Walmart parking lot on Challenger Ave.
According to authorities, the motorist, 58-year-old Michael Horton, continued to drive across the entry road and struck the railing.
Horton was declared dead at the hospital, according to authorities.
The collision was not caused by drugs or alcohol, according to authorities. They did say, however, that he was not wearing a seatbelt.
While personnel were on the site on Friday, police said the entry road to the Walmart was temporarily closed.
