Charlotte shooting death of Aveon Baker – Obituary

WBTV/CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Police have arrested Khamarin Tysheem Floyd in connection with a fatal shooting that occurred on April 20, 2022. The shooting happened in the area of Northlake Mall in north Charlotte and left veon Baker dead.

The April 20 shooting on Northlake Centre Parkway killed one individual, subsequently identified as 19-year-old Aveon Baker. He worked at a Wendy’s in the neighborhood.

Medic pronounced Baker dead on the scene.

Khamarin Tysheem Floyd, 18, was arrested on suspicion of murder, according to Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police. According to the CMPD, he was apprehended without incident on April 30.
